Your Direct Booking Website lets you accept direct bookings under your own brand, with calendar sync, secure payments, and guest data managed from your Holidu account. To create one, activate the channel from your host account, choose a name and web address, publish the site, and then personalize its homepage, host information, and layout.

Accessing Your Direct Booking Website

You can open your Direct Booking Website setup from either of the following places in your Holidu account. Both lead to the same configuration, so use whichever you reach first.

• Go to Direct Bookings, then select My website & widget in the left-hand navigation menu.
• Go to Properties, select your property, open Distribution Channels, and then select My booking website. Click Activate channel if the channel is not yet active, or My booking website configuration if it already is.

Only primary account holders can access the Direct Booking Website. Secondary collaborators do not have access.

Step-by-Step: Creating Your Booking Website

When you open the Direct Booking Website for the first time, a setup wizard guides you through the process. Follow these steps to publish your website.

1. Activate your Direct Booking Website channel.

   1. Log in to your Holidu Host account.
   2. In the left menu, select Configuration and scroll down to Distribution Channels.
   3. Find My Booking Website and click Activate channel.
   4. Review and accept the terms and conditions in the onboarding prompts.
   

2. Select your website languages. You can choose up to 8 supported languages. Then select the default language that visitors will see first.

   

3. Enter your website name and domain address. Enter a domain name, which becomes the first part of your web address, and a website name that guests will see. If you already own a domain, the setup instructions guide you through connecting it to keep your brand consistent.

   

4. Choose your web address ending. Your website address is made up of two parts. The first is a name you choose, usually your property name, such as "myproperty". The second is an ending you pick from the list Holidu provides, such as a general option or one that matches a specific country. Together they form a link such as myproperty.holiduhost.com, which guests use to find and book with you.

   Tip: Choosing an ending that matches your guests' country, for example a German ending if most of your guests are German, can make your site feel more familiar and trustworthy.

5. Choose the properties to display. If you have more than one property, select which ones appear on your website and set their order.

6. Click Finish to publish your booking website. Your website is now online, and your personalized URL can be copied and shared right away.

   

Note: Once you change your web address, the old address stops working. Guests can only reach you through the new one, so update the link anywhere you have shared it, such as booking confirmations, welcome guides, and social media.

Customizable Features

After your website is live, you can personalize the following features at any time:

• Homepage content: Add a logo, title, welcome text, and header image to define the look of your homepage.
• Social media links: Enable social media on your website and add the links to each of your accounts.
• Property listings: Your properties appear with default images and text, which you can replace with your own. The property description is taken from your existing description text, and guests can select "Details" to book directly.
• Your host section: Introduce yourself to guests with a short text and a photo.
• Layout and theme: Choose your layout, display style for the header image, color theme, and whether the date filter bar appears at the top of the page.

Step-by-Step: How to Customize Your Booking Website

Return to your Direct Booking Website using either access path described above, then follow these steps to personalize it.

1. Open the Homepage settings. When you access your website from the Holidu Host page, or after selecting "Finish" during setup, you see the homepage configuration. Select Homepage to customize the look of your booking website.

   

2. Review your property listings. Your properties appear with default images and descriptions. Replace the images and text with your own to showcase each property. Guests select "Details" to book directly.

   

3. Add your logo, title, welcome text, and header image.

   • Updating the logo displays it on your direct booking website.
   • The title appears over the header image.
   • The welcome text appears beneath the main header image.
   • The header image is shown as the main image on your website. Keep it under 8 MB.

   Use only your own images. Do not use images from Google or other image platforms, as this may lead to copyright infringement.
